Oooh good point about keeping the taste bymicrowaving them instead of boiling. Not having to use a pot is also great.
Personally I dont even bother to remove the peel, my potato masher handles them just fine and I don’t mind them in my food.

Love me some mashes taters.
Get the right kind and they basically can’t overcook. I just put mine on the stove at 5pm and just do other stuff until I’m hungry, at which point I just drain the water, add butter, pepper and nutmeg and mash the potatos in about 5 minutes lol. We also get frozen creamed spinach in kind of a pellet form so that its easy to dose, throw some of that in the microwave and it’s actually a solid meal. Even more so when you start playing with other things to add. I like to put some cheese in the mashed potatoes as well, especially fresh Parmesan, but I also tried adding some leftover beef stock today which was delicious. Seasoning the spinach with a little bit of nutmeg and pepper also goes a long way.
Sorry, somehow I produced a wall of text there. Thanks for coming to my ted talk or something
It really depends on what exactly you mean by “the cause of all the problems”.
If you’re talking about your personal problems, like having your experiences dismissed and social expectations of stoicism etc., women are absolutely also part of the problem.
What I’m trying to say is that those women didn’t become like that because they chose so consciously. Their behavior is the result of the very same social norms you are struggling with, which have largely been created by men for men.
I’m not trying to dismiss any experiences. All I’m saying is us men can’t blame women for being in our current situation. If I misread what you were getting at, I’m sorry.
That reads very incel-ish…
Yes, we don’t have true equality yet, and your analysis seems correct at first glance. However, women still have it worse, believe me. A lot of medical research focuses on men and ignores women, they still don’t get taken seriously in many fields of work, they still are the main victims of sexual assault, etc. All negative things applying to men that I can think of are things we are doing to ourselves. Like the ideal msculine image pushed in media is entirely due to men. No woman ever designed a stoic superhero with pure muscle and a sixpack.
Your assessment isn’t incorrect, it just ignores why things are the way they are.
That being said, the situation sucks for OP and they deserve better friends.
Oooh viktoriapark is also a great suggestion.
How have I not heard of that place before? Looks great as well, I’ll have to check it out.
Golt’z Kebap
Most places that accept card also accept contactless, but there are plenty of smaller shops still not accepting anything but cash. Common offenders are street food places, spätis (little shops selling mostly drinks/alcohol and tobacco/nicotine), bakeries, ice cream shops and the likes. Bars sometimes take card, but it’s always a gamble if you don’t know. Ask before ordering, if you don’t see a sign. I think all supermarkets offer card payment.
The only food recommendation I want to give is my favorite Döner place. I’ve shown a bunch of my friends and most say it’s the best Döner they ever had and that I’ve ruined other Döners for them by showing them that one lol. Downsides are it’s a bit expensive (8€ Döner), it’s a bit of a ride from Alexanderplatz (~45min), and they only take cash. I think it’s all well worth it. edit: Somehow forgot to mention: the place is called Golt’z Kebap.
Absolute must see for any kind of nerd is the Technikmuseum, and the Video Game museum is also pretty neat. They have a bunch of old arcades that you can play on, and one of them has a vector based CRT screen, something I’ve never seen, being somewhat young. There’s also a mechanical keyboard shop that I’ve been meaning to visit, maybe that could be a destination if you’re into that (Geekboards). My favorite Parks are Wuhlheide, Treptower Park and Park am Gleisdreieck, in that order.
Hope you have a nice stay! Let me know if you want to grab a beer or smoke a joint with a fellow lemming

I like to automate processes I keep repeating on my machine. For example, there are some documents I receive every month, like bank statements and phone bills. Since the naming conventions of those files are atrocious, I wrote a little program to automatically fix those for me
Some people also like participating in the development of open source software. That requires you to be a somewhat decent programmer already, though, as you’ll have to work with integrated systems
I don’t think that’s esoteric. It’s just ergonomics at plat
