Are there any rules or terms of service that prevent this?

Is the only drawback another account to keep track of and another tax form?

    I don’t think there would be any issue.

    Seems very anticompetitive to say if you support someone on one platform you are forbidden from using another platform.

      I don’t think cake is saying that at all. They’re asking if using both has issues besides more tax paperwork.

    I can’t recall specific examples but I’ve definitely heard of folks that use patreon as a subscription thing and have the kofi for one-time donations. I don’t know their financials, obviously, but it seems to me that it works.
