I recently meet someone and was going to ask them to describe themselves in a paragraph. I realized I wasn’t able to do it myself. I also wasn’t sure how they would react. I thought I would ask here first and see how you folks react.

I’ll define paragraph as three to four sentences.

Isn’t that just an elevator pitch but a little more personal / less corperate?

I’m an imposing looking man with brown bear like features whose personality doesn’t match his looks. As I often go for a more rugged lumberjack style that suits my body shape eventhough I have no clue how to hold any kind of tools and enjoy mostly things like knitting, sewing and cooking. Eventhough I look cold and unapproachable I’m quite warm, kind and cheritable. Due to being born in a developing nation to European parents and later moving back to Europe I have the ability to meet people openmindedly no matter their background.

Sure, it could be seen as an elevator pitch type question. Some of my thought process was to get away from one to one questions.

Meaning… I ask are you an introvert, they respond and say “how ‘bout you”? I thought (originally) this might be a different take, to allow them the opportunity to throw something out there or free form an answer. If that makes sense… I’m getting tired ha!

However, it feels more and more like this wouldn’t be a good question.

I also appreciate you providing your description. It’s always interesting to see how people see themselves versus how others see them.

      Thank you so much!!
